As I reported back in September, Second Life has today released new Premium Pricing Plan Options, which includes a reduced plan without the weekly stipend for less RL dollars, pounds or what have you. Now users who wish to have the benefits of the Premium Plus plan without the higher costs can choose a version of the plan that comes without Linden dollar stipends but keeps the best parts of the Premium Plus plan in place-premium homes, free photo uploads, free gifts and more, at a reduced price. Currently a monthly Premium Plus plan costs $29.95 per month in US dollars with the L$650 per week stipend; without, you can save $14.00 USD per month for a total of $15.95 per month. Those who choose annual plans can get an even better rate, from a monthly average of $20.75 USD per month down to $11.99 per month. It all comes down to choice.

If getting weekly stipends are not important to you and you prefer to buy Linden dollars when needed, or if you are a merchant who brings in Linden dollar income, this might very well be the plan for you. There does not appear to be any changes to the Plus and Premium plans for now. Read more on the Second Life blog here or check out these new pricing schemes below.
